Chicago Show 2007

We went to Chicago to shop for new products to excite our customers.....

...and found some FUN and interesting personalities
along the way.....like Alton Brown and his favorite Japanese
Santoku knife.

He was very entertaining and explained a lot about the
metalurgy and technology that goes into knife making.

Alton certainly had as much energy in person as he
shows on TV, and although we missed it, rumor has it that
he accosted the below celebrity chef and dragged her
off the stage!

Paula Deen's words were: "Next time Mik 'ull, you'll
take care of 'em, riiiaaaattttt?"

"Sure Paula, I'd like to see that" was his response!
We later found Michael in the booth helping to explain
some of the new products that are being released
by Paula Deen.

...and we chatted a little bit about Our Lady and Son's
and living in Savannah on Wilmington Island.

If Michael wasn't helping in the kitchen, Paula would seldom
get through an entire recipe. You can tell her focus is on connecting
with the audience with sincerity and humor.

In case you haven't figured it out yet, we LOVE Paula!

We did some more wandering and found some nifty
recipe ideas in the Reynolds Wrap booth.

Yummie.......

and then it was time to see the new Mario Batali pots and pan
colors. But there was another bonus...

Mario himself. It was a mob scene and we had trouble getting close....
but the new products are awesome! Check with us in May on the new
colors and finishes.

Joann has been looking for some larger pots, pans
and tools....I think we found them. Speaking of large....

(By large I mean personality!) Emeril was there with
T-Fal and his new fryer, steamer and grill.

His assistant looks on as he explains his products.

At this point, we really needed a super hero to help
get us through the rest of the show. We had to settle for
Joann sporting onion goggles! We have got to try these.

We accidently finished the show stumbling onto
Rachel Ray, whose magazine we have just started to carry!

What a great way to end the show! We hope you will
be pleased with the NEW products that we will be bringing
in over the next few months.
