Chef April's Appetizer Class

We have lots of great photos from this class so I will be space with captions and let you enjoy!

The first appetizer was Vietnamese Melon Skewers. Quick and refreshing; can't wait for our local melons to be ready and try these again. Note the cilantro sprinkled over top before you serve.

Look at the fresh ingredients that are going into the Asian Italian Rice Paper wraps. Everybody got into the act on this one.

Here is the finished product sliced open - delicious!

An impressive wrap. These get served fresh within an hour of preparation.

Onto the California Spring Roll. These are authentic in that Chef April grew up on the West Coast.

Yummy!

We had a couple of assistants that fed the class!

Folks asked for seconds on this dish!

Onto the Spanakopita. Puff pastry is so versatile. This was made with a spinach fill and a bonus cucumber dip.

Look at that presentation.

Another very enjoyable class. There was a great deal of hands-on which left our students amply prepared to make these at home. Thanks Chef April! We'll need to offer a similar class this fall in time for the holiday season.
