Chef Carlos from the Ruddy Duck Joins Us for a Sneak Preview
Chef Carlos joined us for a fabulous night featuring some of the gourmet style pizzas that will be featured at the Ruddy Duck in Solomon's Island.
Fresh sausages are grilled and sliced, served with Chimichurri sauce.
Here are the "before" pizza doughs slowly rising.
Chef Carlos showed how to make a fresh batch. The dishwasher nabbed this for his refrigerator!
A loaf of Focaccia bread coming out of the oven.
If you think this looks good.....you are right!
Onto the "main event", Pizza Pizza Pizza!
here is the first which is a Marguerite style with fresh cheese, tomato and basil.
Onto the grilled shrimp pizza. Mouth watering!
Onion and Ham.
Spinach and cheese.
Here is a veggie lover's pizza.
Each pie was better than the last. What you don't see is the Flay that was served at the end as a scrumptious dessert, and for those that still had room, there was also a Calzone with three meats and cheese.
It looks like the Ruddy Duck is slated for an August/September opening and there are 16 anxious customers that can't wait. Sign up for a chance to win a free micro-brewery beer at: http://www.ruddyduckbrewery.com/
