Chef Nicole Morgan's Taiwanese Cooking Class

Chef Nicole continued with her series on Taiwanese specials. Tonight would include Chinese Pancakes Schezuan Bean Curd (Mapo Tofu), Beef with Vegetables and General Tao's Chicken. Look at these fresh ingredients!

The chicken is getting browned.

Chinese pancakes made to perfection.

The finished product. You can see there is a lot of hand preparation for these dishes but the cooking itself occurs very rapidly.

Yum Yum.

Here's the chicken again, waiting on the sauce.

Tofu magic in the making. Healthy and delicious.

I believe I can smell the stir fry through the monitor!

Thanks to Chef Nicole for sharing her native dishes! This series will continue again mid-August and looks like another great meal in the making.

Chef Bambi with International Cuisine

Chef Bambi joined us from the Jaycee Center in Waldorf and provided us with an International menu that was pure delight!

Look at those fresh ingredients!

A professional grater!

A couple of international guests (and Joann's Mom and Auntie!)

Arm wrestling and drinking do mix! :)

The dessert was to die for. Here is the beginning crust.

Here we have the apple arranging face off. Everyone was a winner, with the Apple Rosette Tart.

Look at that just before baking.
The main dish was a wonderful Beef Tenderloin w/Stilton Herb Bread Crust and a Madiera reduction sauce. here Chef Bambi is showing how to handle the tenderloin.

Time for a "Wrap session"....with bacon that is and then topped before broiled.

Look at that asparagus which will be roasted and accompanied by roasted red potatoes.

The finished dessert, needing to cool before slicing.

The reduction sauce progresses nicely.

Out comes the tenderloin...

...and the asparagus. Talk about "good eats"!

The smiles tell it all!

Can't forget the finale!

Another wonderful evening with exquisite food for our guests. Chef Bambi did a great job and we'll see her again with Taiwanese in August and Seafood Appetizers in September.
